Security
As part of our Skeeter staff team we have people who walk around the camp day and night to ensure that the camp is running smoothly and that the campers are safe.
All staff members wear a t-shirt or red sweatshirt with the "Skeeter" logo on the front and "STAFF" written on the back. Any staff member can help you with your problem or direct you to the appropriate staff member.
Please feel free to approach any staff member just to say HI. We always love talking to campers
First Aid
First aid Staff will be wearing red t-shirts with first aid on the front and a large white cross on the back. This year there will be 5 people on the First aid team, and there will be someone located at or near the FA cabin at all times. The Cabin is located at the end of the field. If you are unable to find a FA Team member, contact a staff member. We remind campers that each group is responsible for their own first Aid, however if you require assistance please contact First Aid.
How to protect yourself from sickness and injury
As the weekend is often hot, we recommend that you wear a hat whenever you are in the sun, use sunscreen, and drink plenty of fluids. The cases treated most often at the First Aid station are heat exhaustion, dehydration, and sunburn.
To avoid injury we recommend that you wear appropriate footwear and watch where you are going when you are walking/running around camp. If you have pre-existing injuries and medical conditions please respect your limitations. It is not fun to spend your weekend on crutches or have to go home early because you re-injured yourself.
